| Kitbike Engine Overhaul |
| |
| After a good summer of riding on the Lloyd engine, the time has come to begin teardown of the Yuri Dneprworld engine, which lasted
about a week. To sum up the story from the Kitbike Saga, the engine didnt really do too well.
The bolt to the centrifugal oil filter (slinger) came through the front cover, disabling the engine. The image below highlights all the trouble zones
this engine has had in it's short life: |
| |
 |
| |
- Ignition - replaced stock coil (bad spark) with electronic ignition.
- Clutch - does not disengage fully. See teardown for more information.
- Cylinders/Pistons/Pins - Scored, scored, and WAY too tight. The pins barely fit.
- Bad lockwasher - the slinger wasnt even secured. Came off, sending bolt thru cover.
- Debris - lots of debris in the crankcase area. See teardown for info.
